My Favourite five Cards

Wishing Everyone a Happy Healthy Peaceful New Year

                                                Thank you all
for your Wonderful Support and Friendship over 2014

I am joining Debby's Favourite Five creations again, This year I didn't think I could pick 5 to be honest as I feel I have had a rubbish year with my cards. I think the year was packed with so many special occasions that my mojo really did leave on extended vacation. However looking back  I found it wasn't as bad as I first thought...lol
I settled on this 5.......

                                         Hearts of Gold

I loved the way this turned out as I was unsure if it would work as good as I had it in my mind. Of course it was for my hubby for our Golden Wedding Anniversary in Sept so it had to be in Favourite 5  :o)

                                               A touch of Magic
Loved Colouring this chappie.

                                     A wedding card

Enjoyed this from start to finish...
                                         love the Sentiment

                                             Sunny Faces
This card is so much nicer in real life, I was thrilled with the way the seeds turned out in the middle of these happy flowers, and the lovely sparkle on it.

                               Now the problem begins.........
                            Which of 4 do I choose.....lol ?????

                                        Some Days!!!
I was torn between this one and the little boy which was two posts above this one...hope I made the right decision...ha-ha
Why is it I was unhappy with all my cardmaking this year ...yet I still  found it hard to choose only five..I actually like 8
So Fickle!!!!!
Huge Hugs Happy New year Everyone xxxxxxxx

I don't know how to get rid of it, it appeared a couple of days ago.
It says it is called reCAPTCHA or something! It appears to be a Google thing!

Stupid Google!!!!!!! If I don't ask for it....I don't want it!

Thanks for any help you may be able to give.

Gone a little Dotty......

Morning sweet Bloggers,
I am late with this post! but I will be in York for a shopping day with hubby tomorrow.......and Alfie!!!! oh dear!
its going to be real hard work but he is too little to leave with anyone yet. Well we think so anyway :o~ We took him to keswick last week and we had a lovely day, but we couldn't find anywhere to eat in that he was allowed in, so we ate in tea gardens and then had take-away Fish & Chips which we ate in the car....lol what you have to do!  At the end of a fab day we were told of a new place we could have gone in with him...typical! but we know in future.
At this very moment he is full of mischief, as I am typing this he has found he can steal bits of paper out of my scrap box near my feet and I am doing an Irish jig with my feet trying to fight him off as I type.....ha-ha   he is running with mouthfuls wanting me to chase him :)
Another half hour and he will be dragging his blankets and finally his bed across the room, he lets us know when its bedtime...cheeky monkey!
Anyway Back to the reason for my post....
The new challenge over at
ATCAS is Dots..chosen by the very super talented Loll. She makes such Fab CAS creations.
I chose to use a Memory Box heart Die and some gorgeous Spotty card I bought at The Dome in Doncaster
Bright! but as CAS as it gets.
Will be around to visit as many as possible tonight. Enjoy the rest of your weekend xx

Quick CAS

Hi Everyone,
Just a quick post as its shopping day and hubby is ready and waiting...I hate Monday's...lol I don't seem to have a problem with shopping the other 3 or 4 times a week that we go, i just hate Monday's.
Anyway here is my  ATCAS Sketch challenge card. I was gutted to see that the camera has shown the Gelly Roll pen lines as a different colour to my backing card? I matched it up perfectly and still looks the same good match in the flesh! but for some reason the camera says different.
Maybe the funny light today as its an odd sun, even the card doesn't look white..oh well! I admit I am a rubbish photographer.
Thats it for now, will catch up a bit later today. xxxxxxx

Starry starry night..

Afternoon everyone, Sending huge hugs to anyone that needs one today. xxxx
I did say I wasn't posting anything that I wasn't happy with! Well I am still not too chuffed with this but at least I am pleased that I got the idea that was in my head somewhat onto the card. Its not exactly how I wanted it but the idea is sort of there.
I am entering it into Simon Says Stamp..We're seeing Stars
I have had my Window die since last Christmas ! Don't think I have used it???? can't remember! I wish I could remember half the stash I have..then my mojo might not take so many breaks. I get bored with what I have in front of me. I need to go through some untouched boxes and files  and I would get a huge surprise I am sure....lol
Now for a crafty session with daughter Amanda today, she is here for a full day of play...yippee!
Catch you later xx

CAS tag

Hi Everyone,
Just popping on before a trip to get my hair done, I will need ribbons for it soon! Alfie has certainly took up our days of late...lol  We Play...he eats...we play..well you get the drift!
Anyway here is a card I made for CAS ..Tag Challenge, I was reasonably happy with it till I added a bit of Sparkle to the text...it Ran!!! not sure why as the text was certainly dry when I added it.
Anyway I will post it as It is the 3rd attempt at this challenge..I made a card which had a Bauble on it and Hubby said "oh what a great Christmas pudding!!! the more I looked the more he was right, I think the Holly did it ...ha-ha  I will add it at the bottom to give you a laugh :o)
This is the card for the challenge, I think my cardmaking has took a turn for the worst and I need to get my Mojo back and some serious crafting done. It seems forever since I liked anything I have done...This week is going to be different I have promised myself.
No more posting unless I am happy with the results.

I will leave you with a couple of pics of "The Distraction"Alfie at 11 weeks....Final jab and Microchip on Wednesday...poor sausage!!!

Helping Den with his Diary...no peace!
                                                   If you have it...Flaunt it!
More like a sausage every day!
He is so clever and we have taught him to fetch, which he loves and would play it all day...lol

oops... the pudding!
Sorry for long post! xx

A little Vellum

Evening everyone, well I squeezed a little craft time in last night but sadly didn't get a minute to post it till now. A busy morning then a sad farewell to a lovely Elder at our church, he passed away last week at the grand age of 92...he will be missed by everyone that knew him. A beautiful celebration of his life though with  church packed to the door.
Here's the CAS card I made for the ATCAS..Vellum challenge
I haven't used Vellum for years so it was somewhat of a challenge to decide what to do with it...lol
A few things I am not happy about...not sure I like my choice of card base...the Vellum looks very grey (not in real life).. and finally I have never been happy with how this text stamps, It always seems to miss here and there...even using a plain ink :o(   I think it may be one for the bottom of the drawer.

I stamped and embossed onto it and cut out and made up the flowers, the stamp was one of a few I bought at The Dome, its a Honey Doo stamp called "Flowers for design"
Embossed with Gold WOW powder.
Catch you tomorrow hopefully xxxxxx

Our new baby.....

Well here I am after a very busy ...sleepless  week, This is what has kept me from my craft table.
My lovely new stash that I bought at the Dome last Sunday has not even been opened yet, I cannot believe it!!!
Monday we went with our youngest daughter to collect our Golden Wedding present that she had bought us. I know our G/W was last month but our present wasn't ready till Monday.
Meet the New Addition to our family.......our baby Miniature Dachshund weighing in at 1.75kg, Well we think thats right...he wouldn't stop wriggling about! We weighed him in a shoulder bag with  the luggage scales :o)
He may be tiny but he has massive character....and appetite , he was smaller than his brother but boy! he can eat ok now, he has nobody to push him out the way I guess!
Our Gorgeous little boy is an absolute Joy, he even came toilet trained! can you believe that at 8weeks old, he is just amazing!!! Oh! these proud mothers....ha-ha   No doubt you will see him again at some point.

Hopefully I will get some crafting done...in small doses) we had 3nights of crying and screeching for his mum and siblings every single minute of the night without letting up, I was demented and got so upset, I have spend most afternoons asleep with him cuddled into me...I think we were both equally exhausted.....lol  .. but he slept through last night so hopefully we have cracked it. He certainly looks settled today and follows us around everywhere :o)
See you soon xx

My own Stencil

Good Evening everyone,
This is the result of playing around with inks and making my own Stencils, I decided to do some Die cuts and use them as Stencils today.
Sorry my photo is a bit rubbish but its now got too dark to take pics. I have had my Photo lights on and tried every other trick I can think of ..this was the best ;o~
Added a better picture below ...
I added lots of Sparkle to the trees and snow but sadly its not showing up good.
I will add it to the ATCAS ..Stencil Challenge again......did I say I like stencils....lol
Catch you tomorrow as having a night watching TV with Hubby...and a bag of Thorntons toffee xx
Huge Hugs and Happy weekend everyone, Hopefully I am off to Stamp Magic at Doncaster on Sunday :o))

Water lover....

Hi Sweet Peeps,
Just a quick post today as Mondays are always a busy shopping day for us and I am way behind today. A morning of nothing done in particular ...do you have days like that? Well here is another very CAS card but I had fun doing the watercolour background, trouble is then I didn't quite know what to do with it ....lol  Jemima Puddle Duck came to the rescue, but not sure it works at all! I think its needing something else but what :o~ or maybe just needs starting again :o(
I am entering it into Simon Says Stamp..Watercolours

Well thats it, a bite to eat and off to town...I hate Mondays :o(

CAS stencilling

Hello everyone, well here I am with another CAS card...getting to be a habit that I enjoy!  I think I am needing things that are not too Tasking at present so one of my all time favourite challenge blogs is serving my need very well.
ATCAS... code word "Stencils"  well that suits me just fine too as I love Stencils :o)
The stencil is from Imagination Crafts, I bought loads at Harrowgate show in March, so I might enjoy making another card to enter before it closes.
I inked it with kaleidacolor Blue breeze inks, I then added Gelly roll "Clear star" to the petals although it doesn't show very good at all on pics :o(  but in fact it looks so pretty in the flesh.
Well thats it for now, I am going to sit and craft after I get my Beef Casserole in the oven, Hubbies ulcer seems to be healing a bit and he is looking somewhat better, So his smaller more often meals seems to be doing him good....I will be a stone heavier though as I am eating every two hours with him....lol
Hugs for now xx
Just noticed I seem to have a dirty mark on my card pic ..not sure if its card or screen...need to check!

CAS and cuddly...

Well at long last I got to have a little play,
The ATCAS Challenge code word is "Cuddly"  and as I am not back into full crafting mode I felt I might just cope with a CAS card.Sorry for the horrid green background..ha-ha just realised how horrid it looks, must get my head around taking photo's. :o(   I will never be a photographer...lol
Anyway as I love this challenge it was a perfect place to start my cards again and  It made a nice break after changing the water in all my flowers I can tell you....lol   My house is like a garden :o)  It took me all morning to sort them out, (no complaints mind you)  now lots of Thank you cards to make so a busy weekend.

off to my bed, as I am bushed, Catch you tomorrow and see what you have been up too in my absence xx

Been AWOL...

Hi everyone,
Sorry I have been missing so long! what a busy busy month we had, Grandsons wedding was gorgeous! a fabulous day 8from start to finish.
Then we had our Golden wedding on the 26th,  again we had a lovely day...although we had a bad start to it :o(  We decided to go on a short 5day coach trip at the last minute, so booked it Wed. at 4pm and at  1-30am in the morning Den collapsed with  dangerously Low blood pressure! it was a very scary time for a while. ( Holiday cancelled and Doc out to visit him. Anniversary morning we discovered he had a small bleed from stomach ulcer, so  lots of meds and a quiet family day for our Anniversary  but a wonderful day all the same. Thank you to Sue Brindley and Irene Frudd for the beautiful cards and to everyone that sent Best wishes on facebook.  We went out for a family meal last night  which was lovely, so we are partied out so to speak. Now to get Den well and strong as he is feeling quite rough at present.

sorry Photo heavy.............
3 gorgeous grandsons... Amanda's Boys

Matt and Anna    (Amanda's middle son)

Amanda and me

Our Youngest grandson Levi (Helen's Son) andCatherine

Hearts of Gold

Happy weekend everyone,
Just popping by with a card to enter the ATCAS Challenge
The code word this time is "Luxury" well you can decide what you think of when the word pops into your mind. I decided on Gold!  and what nicer way to show it off than with Hearts..hearts of gold!... In this crazy world we need more of those for sure.  I know if the world only had Crafters in it what a very sweet place it would be to live.

Also I am entering it into Simon Says Stamp...Anything goes
So one card for Two of my favourite Challenges :o)

Well here it is! hope you like it. Sorry it was a little hard to photograph with the bright glaring sun xx
Bye for now, hope to squeeze some more play time soon xxxx
