Heartbroken!!!

So sorry I have been MIA  yet again!
Sadly the day after my last post! my sister was taken into hospital yet again.
Very sadly she passed away on Tues 19th June, I spent every day and many nights sleeping at her bedside. She was never alone and I am grateful of that. She was cared for amazingly well by the hospital.
Diabetes has now claimed two of my sisters and a young niece!  what a cruel disease it is!!!
As Pats next of kin I am busy with arrangements but I will be back in Blogland ASAP.
Sorry for my absence yet again
Take care everyone and give your loved ones an extra hug today. xxx Mau

My favourite sausage :-)

I love sausages!  well a certain type that is....
Hope everyone is well and enjoying some better weather here in the UK. We have had quite a few lovely days of Sunshine here in the north east although we could do with it being a tad warmer. However we have had some lovely park days with Alfie the sausage dog, he has loved it!
Well here is my entry into Allsorts challenge ..All about Pets  I just had to play along with this challenge. As usual I am playing catch up with myself as the challenge ends tomorrow lunchtime.
The Die is a Marianne Die which I cut 3 times and layered it, you can't see it but it sits on the card beautifully and his paws I cut from some tan coloured textured card I had.
The card is going to Alfie's veterinary nurse as she looked after him last week...   (shhhh! he lost his Crown jewels) we are whispering as he is looking a little sad!  We didn't think he would notice as He is Tooooo long to see his b **  ha ha ...poor sausage!
Catch up with you all soon xxxxxx

All Squared up!

Hello again everyone,
Well what a dreadful wet dark day here on the coast, you would think it was late evening!
However a perfect day for crafting...coffee, and heating on full   :-)
I have popped on to post a card for the
Allsorts Challenge be there or be square ... well I will never have it said I am square!   lol
the challenge was obviously to use squares and not other shapes such as oval, round etc.  so here is my take on it.
you still have a couple of days to join in so pop over and take part.

tried to improve the lighting but not much difference really!
sorry the pictures are not wonderful but its so dark here.

Birthday Wishes

Good Afternoon everybody,
Just a quick post today! but I wanted to join in the Birthday challenge over at City Crafter Challenge Blog
They are celebrating 8yrs this month... Wow!!!   Happy Birthday girls x
Well the inspiration to case was this beautiful card by

                                        SAMRA LESHINSKI
I decided to use the blue and the circle as I had been experimenting with making my own Hydrangea, I have plans to make some in different colours   :-)  as making flowers is a good relaxing pastime whilst watching TV.
Anyway back to my card, I also thought I would make another card from the same Die I used last time...seems it was laid about on my work table.
I want to make a few adjustments to this shape next time I use it, but overall I like it.
Thanks for calling by, see you soon xx

Postman brought me flowers!

Evening Everyone,
Hope you have all kept warm and dry over the last few days! I think April showers should be  renamed April downpours!!!
poor Alfie hates the rain so his park runs have been a total washout!  He can't wait to get home and into his favourite spot....and I can't tell you how hot that Radiator is!!!   I try to remember to remove his collar as it gets so hot! but he is up there in a flash the second we get through the door.

Well onto My latest make, The postman brought me 2 boxes of Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts last week, I ordered a load myself and then 3days later hubby asked if I had got all the ones I wanted!  silly question! I told him no as I had spent too much already. Well how pleased was I when he said send for the rest and I will treat you for Easter    :-)
I had to find time to craft and use some of them, so here is one of the cards ...
Sorry about the long post, catch you soon xxx

In Love with Blue

Evening Everyone,  Hope everyone is warm and coping with the snow ...if you got some!!! We have got quite a lot considering we are by the Sea.  I think that's a sure sign of how cold it is, normally the salt air kills it off before it has time to land!
I was hoping to have a nice warm day at home crafting, sadly my sister is in hospital and as she needed lots of messages done and also her house needed sorting out as she went into hospital rather urgently!  I ended up having a  busy day.
I did however make a card last night so I will add it to a couple of challenges.....
My B is Blue..as though you could miss it....lol

CAS Watercolour heart

Good evening everyone,
Just a quick post to add my card to the Watercolour challenge  at http://www.happylittlestampers.com/2018/02/hls-february-watercolour-challenge.html

I thought I would try using the same  Sweet Poppy Stencil that I used to open my blog up with last week! as the optional twist is "Heart" I thought it would be a good one to try. This time I used my Watercolour paints to colour it, I have never joined the watercolour challenge so hopefully it will be ok.
Now I am off to have a little play with Alfie as he wakes up at this time of night :-/  and you get no peace till you play games with him!
Catching up with you all as fast as I can, so will hopefully visit a few more tomorrow. xxxx

I hope this time I can get my card to show as I must have made an error  loading the last one onto the challenge  :-(
I love this Tea pot die but haven't a clue what make it is!!!  I had it sent to me a few years back by a lady that doesn't have her  card blog anymore.
Catch you all soon as going to have a crafty session whilst hubby goes to visit a friend. He is taking Alfie so I may get an hour of peace!

Good Evening

                             Good Evening Everyone,
What a long time since I have blogged!  I tried quite a few times last year to get back into my blogging but sadly life got in the way. My hubby had a terrible 2017 regarding his health and with so many hospital appointments and treatments throughout the whole year! Crafting had to take a back seat. We are hoping 2018 will improve as it moves on as it has not started good for him so far with ongoing health issues.  Last year brought him a Skin cancer, Industrial Lung disease and ended with a heart attack and 2 stents fitted in his previous Heart by-pass grafts, this year already he has had another skin lesion removed  ...we await biopsy results with great anxiety.

Well now to Happier things!  I have re-arranged my crafting space to reclaim my conservatory back as it was full of Craft units and a very shabby looking cane suite. It is now all new and refurbished with new chairs, rug and blinds. We look forward to sitting in there again with our coffee and evening drink like we used to.

In my new craft space I have managed to make a couple of CAS cards which I am going to enter into challenges!
I always enjoyed the CAS challenge so it feels good to get back into it, and my card is for
         http://addictedtocas.blogspot.co.uk/2018/02/addicted-to-cas-challenge-129-teal.html

I love the colour Teal so I really enjoyed making this card, sadly the true colour has not shown very well due to the sun being to bright to photograph it,
I used a Sweet poppy Stencil and Memento Ink  "Teal Zeal"

I do hope I can continue to blog this time! but please stick with me till I see how things work out.  xxxxxxxx

Where does time go!

I can't believe how the time has passed since I posted last, I will hopefully get better at blogging than I am at present!
I hope when I get this weekend out of the way and my visit to the Endoscopy dept. on Saturday things might look up! I will just say I can think of a million better things to do with my weekends!!!  Please pray for good results for me! xx
Well this is a card I made from my favourite Honey Doo stamps, I made it a few weeks ago but couldn't show it as it was for a birthday.  I stamped and embossed in WOW Platinum powder and coloured with promarkers, I also used the Honey Doo matching Die set to cut it out.

Thank you for calling by and leaving lovely comments, its wonderful to see you all again and I do promise to get around to your blogs as fast as I can. Thank you Janette Deans for  calling and staying as a follower, its wonderful to have you on board xx
I will leave you with a few photo's of our Wonderful eldest grandson Ben and his beautiful Bride Loren who got married on the 12th Aug. it was a beautiful country wedding we had an amazing day!

Pearls and Peonies...

Hi Everyone,
Hope its better weather where you are, its a horrid wet damp day here for sure!
I am going to have a sugarcraft session shortly but thought I would pop on with a card I made a couple of days ago. I ordered a stamp from my favourite Honey Doo stamps and the second it dropped in my letter box I had to play with it!
Sadly I think my camera is ailing as its taking rubbish pictures lately. Nothing is coming out  the correct colours!!? my creamy white pearls are grey ...yuk!  I think I may be need to invest in a new one.
Well now to do some sugarcrafting, haven't done any at all for past three years so need to polish up on old skills. When I retired from making Wedding Cakes I swore I wouldn't be doing any more! but they keep popping up again. Thankfully this is a little project.
catch you all again soon xxx

Hopefully I am back to stay!

Well I thought I was back last time to stay! but as hubby hadn't got off to a good start this year! it was build up time for him. We have had a few months getting him back on track and  looking and feeling healthier.
I have still been crafting in between a few days out!
and the fortnight in the Lakes of course was just what the doc ordered.
This is one of the cards I  have made,The flowers are "Flower Shower" from http://www.honeydoocrafts.co.uk/, I stamped onto Velum and coloured them with Markers, The Die is a Sue Wilson "Eternal Rings.
I was quite pleased with how the card turned out again!  I seem to have found what style I like now.
Sorry Photo is a bit rubbish but I didn't have my light box to hand, the sun was blazing and camera setting all to pot!!! I just couldn't get to grips with it somehow!!!   lol
Catch you all soon, Have a Lovely day everyone.  xxx

Hello Bloggers,

Hope you have managed to stay warm today!  it has been so cold here, hope its been better where you are.
Managed to do all my food shopping and cooked Tea, so a bit of telly maybe and an early night! looking forward to curling up under my electric blanket tonight for sure.
Thought I would pop on and show you a Wall hanging that I made, I actually made it a while ago but as I was not posting on my blog it got filed.
I was pleased with it ...for once!  ha ha

Thanks for calling,
I am getting around to visit you as fast as I can, I have had difficulty finding my followers blogs as I can only find them if the call and leave comments. I have gone back over my posts and looked them up that way, but so slow!!
I thought when you clicked on your followers pictures (top of blog) it showed you the blog, now it only shows you what blogs they are following!

Monday, 13 March 2017

Hi Lovely Bloggers  Oh! how I have missed you all!
Well its been a long long time since I shared anything on my blog!  It's been a mixture of reasons really that kept me away.
I totally lost my Mojo big time!!!   so  creations were few and far between.
2/  I had a change of craft area and it resulted in a huge clear out, I used to craft in the Dining end of my lounge so as you will guess my room was always cluttered....to me it was anyway! So  I have reclaimed my Lounge and had a complete change of decor, new carpet, some new furniture, plus curtains etc. Now it looks like a lounge instead of a craft room...  lol
Then I played around with other old neglected crafts...Sewing, knitting, Crochet,
I thought of moving craft room into the loft, as it would now make a super craft room, So I bought all new Cube units etc. and kitted it out, looks good  :-)  however I  soon began to wonder if I would ever be bothered to go up there!???!!  so I have moved stash into the conservatory and we will see how things go...regarding heat  etc. ... thats talking about the summer of course ! when it comes!!! The Loft is still fitted out if I decide otherwise.
The conservatory is only small but gives me the chance to see the garden and won't be shut away from hubby...aww!!!   plus everything is well stored and covered.

Well In the meantime my Style in card making has changed ...maybe not to everyone taste! but I haven't done images for a long time.
here is a sample, will try over the next couple of weeks to catch up on everyone's news.
Thanks to those of you that stayed around xxx Mau

The Floral Arrangement has been stamped on vellum and embossed with platinum powder.
The stamps are Honey Doo
 http://www.honeydoocrafts.co.uk/

which are a huge favourite of mine.

Missed you!!!!

Well at Last I am back!!!
We have had no internet and no television  since last week :o( we have done things we haven't done in years...lol  Played cards, Backgammon, and the radio which is normally on all day till teatime has been on till bedtime every day. Thankfully they have been to repair today so we have our internet back! It was really awkward as we had just bought things on ebay when the internet went off!!!  we couldn't contact the sellers or anything, what a pain.

A feathery touch!

Morning Lovely bloggers,
Hope you have some of this lovely winter sunshine where you are. Its a beautiful morning here on the N/E coast, it certainly lifts your spirit and makes you think that Spring is around the corner.
Well to business, here is a card I managed to make last night between chasing Alfie around the table on more than one occasion as he kept snatching everything I dropped and running with it...goading me to chase him, the little tinker!
Entering it into City Crafter Challenge..Oh Feathers.
Its ages since I entered this challenge and I used to enjoy it so much.
The die cut feathers were a free gift on the "Simply cards and Papercraft Mag. The papers are LOTV Bonnets & Bowties.
Well I think thats it  apart from leaving you with a couple of pics of Alfie and his Gorgeous new blanket that Lee made him. He loves it!!! its so snuggly.

I guess its a Winner!!!  Alfie certainly thinks so....lol
Thank you so much Lee, You are so kind xxxxxxxxxx
Bye for now everyone xx
