Snuggle up close

Evening everyone,
Well chasing my tail as usual, I wanted to make my card for the Sugar Nellie Gayle's Sketch Challenge, but with all the hic-ups this week I have only just managed to squeeze it in. I almost didn't bother this week as I am not very happy with it at all. I like to be at least 30% happy with the finished card and this has fell well below that mark but I am posting it anyway....lol I think I am going backwards sometimes :(
I have decided I am going to create something Magnificent one day so you had better watch this space, but don't hold your breath for goodness sake....rofl xxx BTW sorry the piccy isn't very good but the light is rubbish x

well off to find my Mojo, think its feeling neglected and is sulking somewhere. Talking of neglect we were suppose to be going to have a look in "Next" today for Den a warm Cardigan/jacket, but I got waylaid in Debenhams looking for a Poncho and the shops closed...oops!! Den said he now knows how Next got its name!!!! We will go next time.....lol

Little Miss Cozy Toes

Brrrrr!!!!!!! Isn't it so cold, I really think winter has come early. Thanks to everyone that has sent good wishes to me and thanks to Irene from DC for my lovely card that has arrived today, its gorgeous, thanks my lovely friend.
The Back is still a little painful but I am up and mobile and the painkillers are down to morning and night. :)) Now on a Happy note....
Well what better weather than to make a challenge card with a theme of "Warm & Cozy" this was the LOTV Challenge this time and I am quite pleased with my card, which is very unusual for me as I am never satisfied with my efforts.....lol
I love this Image, she looks so cosy and snug, I coloured her with Promarkers and added some Flower Soft. I don't usually use F/S but I like the white one for snow and fur. I am afraid I cannot remember what make the paper is, It was a 12" x12" paper which I bought quite a while back, someone may recognize it and let me know. I hope to catch up with blogs tonight, and who knows I might even get a card made as well if I get my finger out and knuckle down to it. Sorry for being MIA

Hi everyone, so sorry I haven't been around to leave comments : (   I went off to Torquay with a slightly dodgy back, I haven't a clue what I did to it. However it was was a million times worse by the time I got to Torquay. I think the 9hr. coach trip did it no favours at all. I spent the week in agony and living on Painkillers.
THEN..... I had to face the 9hr trip home, it was a nightmare to say the least with my back in total Spasm.
 I had to give in and go to the hospital on Sunday, and get some perscription painkillers and then had tto see my own Doc on Monday morning who gave me Valium to release the muscle spasms. Well you can imagine where I have been  when he said take your Codene Phosphate, 2 paracetamol, and a valium all together...lol
I had to take 4 valium a day....me!!!! I can sleep anywhere at anytime normally, without added help : O
Well enough of my moans, but I had to say sorry for not calling round, this is the most I can manage to do at present as its so painfull to sit for long, but hopefully I will feel better tomorrow. I have been up today instead of laying flat on my back. The lounge carpet has got a footpath worn  in it today, so I think things are maybe improving a little and I can do some gentle exercise tomorrow..  : )) A walk around the block sounds good. Catch you all as soon as I can. xxxx Hugs to everyone

Autumn or Summer!!!!!

Not sure what the weather is doing but I ain't complaining, isn't this great to see the lovely sun when you wake up :))
 Well I bet you wondered what my Anniversary surprise was... Hubby took me to book another holiday break...wowee!! we got back from Newquay on Friday and we are off to Torquay next week so had better get my clothes sorted again super quick...lol
I just have one worry, I hope my precious daughter doesn't have fun with my stash whilst I am away. She is away in Cyprus at present, but she will be home by the time I go away. Please watch for any posts from her and tell her to keep off my goodies (Craftingfever) She can use my stamps but she had better keep her hands off my Papers and Copics :0  only kidding Panda, you know mummy will share...worry! worry!

Well enough Waffling from me I had to find time to make my card for the Sugar Bowl Kiki's Sketch challenge, I just hate missing this challenge so here it is, I hope if I was lucky enough to win someone will tell them I will be back within a day or two...lol  Just imagine losing a 4 Sugar Nellie stamps prize...YIKES! doesn't bear thinking off...lol   not that I expect to win but who knows. This time its a  Fab Sketch by Kiki and optional theme is Autumn. I thought these lovely papers that I bought at Harrowgate show would be perfect.The papers are Prima/Fairy Flora and I love every one in the pad, I wish I had bought two lots now   : (

and here is the insert.. by the way the brad on the front is burnt orange..not pink, very strange how the camera has kept the eyelets colour correct and not the brad!!

Well another one nearer our Golden, Its our 47th Wedding Anniversary today, how the years have flown! I can't believe how fast they have gone its frightening ..Gulp!  We had our first date on the 24th Sept 1959 so we have actually know each other 52yrs.............................................. and two days...lol must not forget those two days :))

Well here is the card I made for Den, I have to say I was well pleased with it, it turned out better than I expected.

 We are now off to town, he said he wants to surprise me...whoo hoo what can it be. I already got my pressy 6wks ago a beautiful eternity ring. (I bought him a black onyx ring too) I had an eternity ring many years ago but it needed repair and it wasn't worth the cost of repair. This is different :o it is more than I ever dreamed of. Well here is my card for my one and only love and best friend,  oh! what a load of mush eh!!...lol

Farewell for a little while & A Smile

Just a tiny post before I go off to my bed, Just wanted to say I will not be able to call on your Blogs for a few days as going off to Newquay :)) I will catch up with you all next weekend, so be good and don't be having parties without me will you.
I will leave you with a smile... Children always come up trumps don't they.

A six yr old little girl was watching her mother desperately trying to get Ketchup out of the bottle when the phone rang. the little girl picked it up, the person on the other end asked if mummy or daddy was available. The mother looked aghast as the little girl replied..."No sorry my daddy is at work, and my mummy is Hitting the bottle"......lol

OK I give in!!!!!

Good Morning all, Well I have had to submit to getting on with Christmas cards, I cannnot believe I am making Christmas cards in September...lol What will I do in Nov/Dec.! but I just could not resist inking up my lovely Sugar Nellie candy from Elaine. Isn't this image so sweet and snuggly,it reminds me of the little birds that used to sunbathe on my big bulldog's back, she used to just turn her head as much as to say "ok but sit still I want to sleep" awww!! I love it xx

I have followered the Challenge Sketch and used my scraps so I think its not too bad really. I added a Chipboard Snowflake with a little sparkle added. I think the only thing I don't like is the sentiment, I am not into these printed pre-made ones or whatever you call them but I thought the colour was perfect so its on. 

The insert still needs a white bit with a verse, will do this at a later date. Well must dash as I am going shopping for odd bits for my little hols, will be away f or a few days next week in sunny Newquay...huh! we hope!!!!!
